Importance of Organizational Behavior

These skills are generally learned on the job, in universities, or trade schools.
These two sets of skills are each important in their own right but alone they can not ensure an employees success. Employees need to have both soft and hard skills to become valuable employees. Technical skills without a knowledge of how to use them with other people are useless and communication skills without something to communicate do nothing. .
Study and Practice of Organizational Behavior.
Learning the soft skills that are aspects of Organizational Behavior helps to make an individual successful in his professional career. The study of these skills is something that must take place. These skills are normally learned as a person grows and goes through life, but more often than not, they must be reinforced through study and training. Training our employees on the soft skills will be beneficial to them and us.
Soft skills training are often viewed as secondary to technical training. This is a misconception however. Teaching technical skills to people who do not understand how to communicate and interact leads them to fail on the job (Persall, 2003). To these people it can be beneficial to intermix their technical training with soft skills training. The benefits of this training are evident in workers who have had difficulty with interpersonal skills, including courtesy, teamwork, respect for authority, and personal accountability (Piersall, 2003).
Once learning adequate organizational behavior skills employees and management will be better able to understand one another. Employees will be able to communicate their ideas and their frustrations and management will be able to understand and empathize with them.
             The Value to Us.
Our company will benefit greatly the study and application of organizational behavior skills. As technology has evolved, the world has grown closer. It is now easier for people separated by great distances to communicate with each other.
