On one hand, you are trying to break or eliminate racism from interfering with anything or having it to be a method to judge a person. But with affirmative action, we are creating a new breed of racism. One in which there will be no solution. I feel that a person should be judged and characterized solely on their intelligence or any special ability they poses, not by their color of their skin or their cultural back grounds.
James Mill would agree with me on this argument. Being an utilitarianism, Mill believes that all action should be directed toward achieving the greatest happiness for the greatest number of people. This means that the majority of the minority society does not want to be discriminated, even if it's for their own good.
