Financial ethics

Decisions financial managers make are of the utmost importance to the company; their decisions can either make or break the company. They can affect many aspects of the company, not just the finances. Managerial decisions can influence job availability, production numbers, production methods (if applicable), and dividend payout (if applicable), to name a few. Therefore, the ethics of a manager must be perfect to the "nth" degree. It is extremely difficult to monitor the ethics of managers but we must do something to control their actions so they are ethical and moral. .
The federal government could step in by forming 12 committees to oversee decisions made by financial managers. These committees would be under the judicial branch of the federal government. The committee would be bipartisan, lead by the majority party. The districts will be broken up according to the twelve Federal Reserve zoning guidelines. In each of the twelve cities ( San Francisco, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Dallas, Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago, Cleveland, Richmond, Philadelphia, New York, and Boston), the respective board will meet and govern its assigned area. The board will consist of seven members. Each board member of each committee will monitor their specialized area of industry's decision logs in their respective district. The seven types of business they will govern are technology, entertainment, food/restaurant, financial, medical/hospital, manufacturing, and education. .
If a problem occurs in a certain industry, the respective board member will assess it and address it to the group. The group will then perform a thorough investigation on the company that was thought to have faulty ethics. After the investigation is complete, this board will give their resolution and what should be done to the company. A fine will be assessed to the unethical company or if the board finds that the company had acted criminally, the person responsible would be incarcerated for a predetermined amount of time.
