Every time men try to direct themselves, they fail. God said, "Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit." (Zech 4:6) .

Work of the Holy Spirit: (cont.).
One of the greatest works of the Holy Spirit is the sealing of the believers. (Eph 1:13-14).
God's mark of ownership is the sealing in the Holy Spirit. You belong to God. Bought and paid for with the mighty blood of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is also "the guarantee" of our inheritance. (Eph 1:14) The Holy Spirit teaches us (John 14:26) helps us learn and helps us to understand the Scriptures. He brings the Scriptures to light so that we may be fed. The Holy Spirit gives and sustains spiritual life and ministry. We must daily walk in the Spirit and He gives us the ability to work in a ministry. It is the Holy Spirit who changes us into the glory of Christ. (2 Cor 3:18) It is the Holy Spirit who washes, sanctifies and justifies us in the eyes of God. (1 Cor 6:11, Heb 9:14).
It is the Holy Spirit who frees us from the Old Testament laws and rituals. (2 Cor 3:13).
He does things only a person can do: .
Teach and remind you v/s John 14:26.
Called them to service v/s Acts 13:2.
Convict the world of guilt v/s John 16:8.
Led by the Spirit v/s Romans 8:14.

Gifts of the Spirit:.
The gifts of the Spirit are not natural talents but rather have their origin with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit supernaturally gives them to a believer. (1 Cor 12:11) The two Greek words that are generally used to describe spiritual gifts are "pneumatikos" meaning "spiritual things" or "things pertaining to the spirit", and "charisma" meaning "grace gift". The word charisma emphasizes that a spiritual gift is a gift of God's grace; it is not a naturally developed ability. (1 Cor 12:4, Rom 12:3-6).
The initial teaching of the Holy Spirit starts is Acts. The book of Acts shows many different results of the Spirits work, and in 1 Cor 12 the bible tells us about the spiritual gifts.
