Teenagers should not be tried as adults for committing murder. They should not be tried because they are too young and because it could have been a mistake.
First, Teenagers are too young to be tried as an adult. Just being tried as an adult could ruin the Life of a teenager. They could have lived to go to college. The teenager could have just done better with a simpler punishment, but not to be tried as an adult. Why mess up the life of at such a young age? They also could have been able to change if they were not tried so harshly. They could have done better if they were free. They could have maybe made a difference in the world. But why take that chance away? Why take the entire lifetime of a teenager for just one wrongdoing? The sentence of a teenager shouldn't be as harsh as an adult because a teenager has their whole life in front of them.
Secondly, The teenager that could be tried maybe made a mistake. They could have just been playing without the knowledge that the gun was loaded. They just maybe pulled the trigger by accident. A teenager is not aware if a gun is loaded or not. Most teenagers don't even know how to use a gun. Why waste the life of a possibly innocent teenager for a mistake committed? They also could have just touched it by accident. Usually it's the parent's of the teenager who owns a gun. If the parent does not place a gunlock on the gun, then it shouldn't be the teenager's fault. Maybe they thought it was a toy and found out the hard way what it really was. Why put such a young person in jail for something their parents should be aware of? I consider that unjust and harsh!! It could probably been just a very miserable accident; Maybe the teen didn't know about the gun and how to use it.
In summary, teenagers should not be tried as an adult. Trying a teenager like and adult is like putting a baby to do algebra problems. They don't know and they are not aware about the use and possession of a gun and how serious it could be.
