Today I hope to accurately reflect back the information provided to me by Joseph LeDoux in his book the Synaptic Self, How Our Brains Become Who We Are. In this text review I will outline, what I feel are, the main points of brain development addressed by Joseph LeDoux and his team of colleges. I feel that the author of this book has gone into great detail and has included information from numerous studies and research, not only his own but also the research and studies of many other professionals in the field of brain development, behavioral studies and their research as well as comparing this information with the works of many psychological theories from such theorist as Freud and Piaget. I found the information in this text interesting and informative. As I read through the pages of each chapter I compared it's information to other classes that I have taken in the field of Early Childhood Development, especially the Child Growth and Development Class at Western Montana College that I attended a few years back, where we took a brief look at brain development. The field of human development is fascinating and I am eager to learn more. This text offers so much information on brain development and how we be come who we are that I do not believe that I could possibly include the vast amount of information in a mere ten pages. But I assure you that I will try and do my best. .
