People have been arguing about the death penalty for centuries, .
from the days of hanging people to today's lethal injection. Capital .
punishment has been the topic of many arguments all over the United States. .
There has been protest and even strike against or with the capital .
punishment. Some people agreed with capital punishment and other are .
against it. No murder should have the right to live since they have no regard .
for other people's life. They should not enjoy their life after ruining an .
innocence person's life. Therefore the death penalty should be kept for the .
safety of the people, to reduce tax, and to make an example to other would .
be murder.
The death penalty should be kept for the safety of the people. If the .
death penalty is taken away other criminal would kill people, knowing that .
they would not be executed for their crime. The people would be scared and .
the whole country would be in chaos. An example would be the case of Jack .
Abbot. He won parole after being convicted of murder. After six week of .
being free, he stabbed an innocent man for no apparent reason. Convicted .
murders are dangerous to the society and people. No criminal should get the .
easily way out for killing someone. They fully deserve the death penalty. .
That is why Capital Punishment should be kept.
Another reason why the death penalty should be kept is to reduce tax. .
If convicted murderers were in prison we would have to pay tax to shelter .
them and pay tax for there meals. The National Poll of America stated the .
cost of keeping a killer in prison for year is twice as much as that of .
supporting a student at a top-notch college for a year. The death penalty .
benefits the taxpayer. People have complained how taxes are going up. .
When it could be lower if the death penalty is enforced. The death penalty .
should not be taken away so people would have less tax to pay.
Capital Punishment should be kept, as example to other would-be .
