            "Men are not altogether bad or altogether good."" (Machiavelli) Every individual has their own personal intentions whether they are moral or sinful. Although one can be flawlessly noble on the outside they also have every possibility of being evil within. Humans are responsible for their own actions and the consequences that they may have to face. The Lord of the Flies by William Golding assist in investigating the correlation to the real world and the island world that has been created in The Lord of the Flies. Both in the real and island world one sees that every individual is shaped with comparable characteristics, humans, occasionally offering a lending hand but still determined to be the most surpassed individual. Society is continuously suffering because although all humans have Christian-like similarities they also carry with them the quality of evilness. While parts of the world experience poverty, hostility and abhorrence other parts have the capability to be comfortable, wealthy and ambitious. For example, the Friends cast is reported to be paid $1.2 million an episode " each (Connelly), while third world countries cannot meet the expense for food. Golding shows that if individuals are left alone to nurture for themselves they will develop into egotistical savages. The time period in which the novel is set, World War II, is exceptionally effective, because the adult world is suffering significantly from the natural irreverence of man. While the island world is facing their personal war as a reflection of the real world. Hatred lingers among the diverse societal groups on the island, as the characters strive for their individual motivation and objectives. Characters in this novel resemble personality traits that everyday humans portray. In The Lord of the Flies chaos is promoted, the regulation of the adult world is revealed and the Christ-like human is represented, which leads to the savageness of each character.
