The Treaty of Versailles

This did eventually happen; The Rhineland became a demilitarised zone this meant that if Germanys troops put a foot into this 50km stretch they could be gunned down. Georges Clemenceau was a very happy with this because it was taken away from his enemies the Germans. Prussia and Posen was given to Poland Georges was very happy about this because this meant that Poland would get stronger and be able to help them in the war effort. Danzig is a stretch of land near Poland and this Georges mostly wanted to be given to Poland. This land was given to the League Of Nations this infuriated Clemenceau because he wanted this to be given to Poland so they could build up a navy and attack others by sea.
Georges Clemenceau was happy with the reparations and demanded a handsome sum of 200 billion as time went on this amount got smaller but France were generally happy with Reparations. .
Georges Clemenceau also agreed that Germany should be blamed for the start of the war. Georges went along with the clause because he thought it would make the country stronger and more defiant in the battle against Germany.
Clemenceau was absolutely outstanded about the German armed force clause because this made them very weak and must have mucked up the morale of the Germans.
Georges Clemenceau was happy that the League of Nations had been cleared because this all went in the right way of the war effort if the allies were to be victorious. This also boosted the confidence of Woodrow Wilson because this was the on thing he wanted out of the treaty.
Overall I think that Georges Clemenceau was very happy with The Treaty of Versailles. This was because he got a lot out of the treaty and most of his points of the treaty were cleared. .
Woodrow Wilson was satisfied with the treaty. He got a few of the things that he went in for.
Woodrow only wanted the return of Alsace Lorraine to France in the Germany territory part of the treaty because that was the only thing he believed needed returning.
