"Hook" in, 1991, also "Dying Young" in, 1991. Into the later 1990's, Roberts had a few good movies "The Player" in, 1992, "The Pelican Brief" in, 1993, "Ready to Wear" in 1994. "I Love Trouble" was a minor hit in 1994, and "Something to Talk About" in, 1995. But these movies failed to attract anybody's eye. (Search Biography).
             Then Roberts landed a starring role in the smash hit comedy "My Bestfriends Wedding" in 1997 and "Conspiracy Theory" in, 1997. Also Roberts was in "Stepmom", in 199, Notting Hill",in 1999 and "Runaway Bride", in, 2000. (Current Biography Yearbook). .
             Roberts is known for the emotional intensity with which she invests her performance, an investments that has brought her a very great career. (Current Biography Yearbook). Also she is known to have the innocent charm of Audrey Hepburn, the tentative feminist impulses if Diane Keaton, and the bankability if not depth, of Meryl Streep and some even described her as women like and wanted to be, and men liked and wanted to have. But Hollywood described her as; she had been breathlessly described as having Sophia Loren's exotic good looks, Geena Daviss's gangly sexiness, Monroe's vulnerability and Hayworth's sophistication. Roberts has won a lot of awards and many nominees. The academy awards Roberts had won are: Best Actress "Erin Brockovich" 2000; her nominees are Best Supporting Actress "Steel Magnolias" 1989, and Best Actress "Pretty Women" 1990.Roberts's Golden Globes she has won are: Best Supporting Actress "Steel Magnolias" 1990, Best Actress (Comedy) "Pretty Women" 1991, and Best Actress (Drama) "Erin Brockovich" 2000.
