After attending FOCUS at Georgia Institute of Technology, I realized how important it is to achieve a graduate degree. My education at the Southern University has made me realize how electrical technology pushes human civilization onto an unexpected level, and this motivates me to proceed further. After deep consideration and spiritual support from my parents, I have decided to continue my studies in electrical engineering, because I am not satisfied with my personal use of aptitudes. I need to have more experience and to meet more challenges in order to enhance my abilities. Pursuing a doctorate education is for the purpose of training leaders, not followers. Not only for its National recognition as one of the top Graduate Colleges in the USA, but for the previous reasons is why I chose Georgia Institute of Technology as my school of study. .
In my bachelor degree, I have done my best to gain knowledge in all electrical engineering related fields. In my doctorate study, I will proceed in this direction and would be highly interested in attaining oriented research projects. I would like to be able to exert all my skills to innovate new technology and touch unknown realms. During my past research and study, I encountered some intriguing problem and in my doctorate study I would like to address the topic. .
The topic I would like to address is Electronic Circuits and Analysis. I am currently working with Raytheon on a Senior Design Project titled "Junction Temperature Monitor." We are designing a circuit that will determine the temperature change of electronic device directly at the junction (ie PNP junt.). Also this test system has to be computer intervened. After searching Georgia Tech. web site, I found that Professor David Hertling had similar research interest. If accepted into Georgia Tech's prestigious program, I would consider joining Dr. Hertling's research.
