Society Everywhere is in Conspiracy Against the Manhood of Every One of Its Members.
It is not true that society is in conspiracy against the manhood of every one of its members. Society is defined as "a group of humans broadly distinguished from other groups by mutual interests, participation in characteristic relationships, shared institutions, and a common culture." Manhood is defined as "the state of being distinguished as a human." Finally, a conspiracy is defined as "an agreement to perform together a wrongful act." Solely based on definitions, this statement is false. Because society is a group of humans that are distinguished from others, and manhood is the state of being distinguished as a human, by no means would society be trying to conspire against the manhood of each of its members. Humans tend to conform to society, therefore they will end up being distinguished based on how that society behaves.
A Foolish Consistency is the Hobgoblin of Little Minds.
This statement is true because a great mind does not have to think consistently. A great mind will figure something out, not having to be consistent. Little minds are infected with a foolish consistency because they can not understand things as easily as someone with a greater mind. But, mainly because little minds do think foolishly, they are very consistent, whereas great minds do not have to think consistently from day to day.
To Be Great is To Be Misunderstood.
To be great is to be understood. This statement is true. Many "great" people have been misunderstood. To deviate to the norm, is to be misunderstood because of society people will not understand why anyone would try to do something differently. Most great people have strayed from the standard and did things their own way. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. fought for African American Rights. He was misunderstood by many whites because he was he was fighting for something that no one believed was possible, but him and a select few.
