On September eleventh, the whole world found out the meaning of the word "terrorism", and its whole definition in practice. Millions of people were watching television with tears in their eyes on that day. Probably many of us had the same questions in our minds, "What will happen further?", "will we be able to resist terrorism?". Many of us feared the future and the effects that can happen because of these terrorist attacks. The three main points that made me worried were safety, fear of further attacks, and the feeling of powerlessness.
The first result of the terrorist attacks on September eleventh was my fearfulness about my own safety and the safety of my loved ones. It was impossible to forecast the further actions of the terrorists. After the explosions at the World trade Center and the Pentagon buildings, the United States got the threat of anthrax, and I understood that the methods of the fight that the terrorists could undertake could be unlimited. I decided to be more cautious about opening letters that were sent from the people whom I did not know. Also my husband assumed that one of the methods that terrorists could choose to cause more trouble was the possibility of poisoning of water reservoirs. We decided to get prepared for this possible attack and reserved more drinking water. We also were afraid that more explosions could follow and advised our relatives to avoid going into the tall buildings in Dallas and Fort Worth, as we thought that any of the United State's cities could become the terrorist" victims. .
The second possible effect that mad me anxious was the fear of further attacks. It was obvious that the terrorists prepared the attacks on the most important objects in the United States. One of the first targets could be the White House because if the US nation were left without the president, it would make it weaker and more threatened. Another building that could, most likely, be targeted by terrorists is the Congress, as it is also one of the most important government structures in the country.
