Treaty of Versailles

There were many reasons for which the leaders of the war had to go along with the the Treaty of Versailles and that was but the biggest of them all was public, the public was furious beacsue of the destruction of the war and beacause of that they had to put hte blame on someone and that blame was put on Germany. So to satisfy the public who wanted to "Make Germany pay" or another saying of that time, "hang the Kaiser" the leaders at taht time had to come up with a plan taht would punish the Germans enough to satisfy the public. Another reason that the treaty came out to be so harsh was that the Big Four as they were know which were the leaders of USA, France, Italy, and England set the treaty up so early. If they were to wait a while and let everyones tempers calm down such as those of the public and the leaders themselves they could of came up with some reasonable clauses for the Treaty. Instead some of the leaders went on instinct and in the heat of the moment used they're revenge as a fuel for the ideas they established in the Treaty of Versailles. The place itself where the discusions for the treaty inself were also a contributing factor in the decsions made on that treaty. Germany had once established its empire there and marched its army in victory through there it gave Georges Clmenceau who was the leader of France a chance to greatly influence the clasues of the treat because he had the entire public behind him in that place and he himself was also angry over the war and therefore the location was also a contributing factor of how harsh the treaty was. If the treaty were to be done in a nuetral location the anger and ideas of the public would not of been as big of a contributring factor and the leaders could of otherewise thought more reasonably and came up with means to punish Germany without they're people feeling resentment and angry enough to avenge the allies and lead to another war.
