In 1992 he surprised everyone by winning the Wimbledon Championship, and winning his first Grand Slam title on English grass courts. In 1994, he defeated Michael Stich for the U.S. Open title. In 1995, he won the Australian Open. Agassi won and Olympic gold medal in 1996.
