of emotions, who ultimately led to making and breaking different characters. The .
two main characters in this movie and even some of the supporting ones are .
extremely cruel and emotionally sick people who get their kicks out of .
using people.
The film "Cruel Intentions" is a modern version a famed 18th-century novel, .
called Choderlos de Laclos's Les Liaisons Dangereuses. This novel before .
"Cruel Intentions" had been adapted three times, with the most recent version .
being "Dangerous Liaisons." The main characters in this movie include Sebastian .
Valmont and Kathryn Merteuil, who are two deceitful step-siblings who are part of .
the high society in Manhattan. These two characters amuse themselves .
by playfully flirting and bragging about their different sexual conquests. Kathryn .
quickly gets bored of her multiple boyfriends but the unexpected happens when .
she is dumped by one of her boyfriends for a 15-year-old named Cecile. This .
upsets her so much, that she asks Sebastian to seduce Cecile and spread .
rumors about her. The stakes grow even higher between Sebastian and Kathryn .
when she makes a bet with him concerning if he can seduce Annette Hargrove, a .
young girl whose father is the new headmaster of the school, and whom recently .
had wrote an article in "Seventeen" magazine where she speaks on her plans to .
keep her virginity until she gets married, before school starts. If he loses the bet, .
she gets his Porsche. And if he wins, he gets Kathryn. Since she is always telling .
him " I"m the one person You cant have.
