             The second main recruiting strategy is their use of college and university career placement offices to recruit individuals. Quaker focuses on recruitment of minorities by instituting several programs that targets those groups. Quaker Oats Hispanic American, African -America, and Asian-American commitment helps to attract potential employees to the company by recruiting from predominantly minority schools. Some of their commitments include supporting education systems, promoting volunteerism and support community organizations.
             The company utilizes a candidate resume database. The resumes that are received stay active in the system for six months. Their college recruitment is based on specific schools for specific jobs, for example Accounting and Finance are recruited from an Indiana University. BA in logistics, supply chain management, marketing, MA in market research, and finance are recruited from Michigan State, Ohio State and Penn State. During the summer months Quaker offer various internships for undergraduates and graduate students and they utilize these internships for recruiting future employees. .
