It is said "That he came from a rich family andreceived a Christian education.Blaise is a young man he thought about all the sufferings and trouble of the times. He realize that only spiritual joys can only make a person really happy. He became a priest and then a bishop of Sebaste in Armenia now is modern day Turkey. With all his heart St.Blaise worked to make his people holy and happy. St.Blaise prayed and preached he tried to help everyone. When the governor Licinius began to persecute all of the Christians, St.Blaise received a message from God telling him to go and hide in the hills to escape persecution. He trained the animals by blessing them. Hunters discovered a cave surrounded by wild animals who were sick. St.Blaise walked among them unafraid curing them of their illnesses. The hunters recognized St.Blaise as a Bishop, so they captured him to take him back for trial. On the way he talked a wolf to releasing a pig that belonged to a poor woman. He was sentenced to die in prison to beheaded, on the way to the prison a crowd gathered in the roads to see their Bishop one last time. He blessed them all even the pagans, when a poor mother rushed over up to him. She begged him to save her child who was choking to death from a fishbone. St.Blaise whispered a prayer and blessed the child. He worked a miracle that saved the child's life. In prison the saintly bishop converted many pagans. No torture could make him give up his faith in Jesus. While in prison the mother of the choking child brought St.Blaise food and candles. St.Blaise was maturated beheaded in the year 316 A.D. St.Blaise feast day is Febuary3.
