Jack the ripper source studying

" The information in sources B and C do not support that in source A.
             Question 3.
Sources D and E are two very different sources. On is an objective statement from a possible eyewitness; the other is a subjective report from a local newspaper. Source D, although given in a legal court, is from a prostitute so we have to question if it is completely reliable she says things like "I think" and "but I cannot be sure." She seems unsure of what she saw. How are the police meant to catch a man they know nothing about when there first "witness" is obviously not very reliable, she describes a middle classed foreigner and gives no distinguishing facial features for the police to work around. It is articles like source E that help me to understand why the ripper really escaped capture, it is a stereotypical article on the murders, it uses unnecessary adjectives like "defiant ruffianism" and "apocalypse of evil." This article wasn't written in order to help the police capture the ripper it was written in order to sell more newspapers, although I am now prejudiced against newspaper articles, we must read what it says, it is an account of an informant instructing the police that forces on the streets should be strengthened and that order should be restored on the streets of whitechapel at night, but it states he was referred from one police station to another, this gives the impression that the police don't want to take orders from a peasant, police informer and rather than lose their informant altogether they took the easy route out and sent him on a wild goose chase. I think the Ripper evaded capture because the police didn't take into account the small things and because they had no proper witnesses. .
             Question 4.
By studying sources F and G I can gain some knowledge about how the police tried to capture jack the ripper. Firstly the police organized a vigilance committee named the "Mile End Vigilance Committee.
