The rights that foreign nationals receive, is a highly debated topic, especially in recent times. Since September 11th, 2001 there have been many accused, and proven terrorists for that matter, found right here in the United States. These terrorists have been carefully selected by the FBI as having met one or more of a list of criteria. The things on this list that they have are how they define terrorist, so they have all been watched, and paid very close attention to, so there is no confusion as to whether or not there is any guilt.
As far as I am concerned people that commit crimes against the United States do not deserve the rights of American citizens, even if they are American citizens. They are not good, upstanding, law-abiding citizens. They are far below that. They are terrorists. Foreign Nationals are not even Americans to begin with, so why on earth should they even get the same rights as your average tax-paying American. They, more often than not, are here on our dime, in good will to do something worth while. Such as: Get and education, do some research, visit family members, visit our beautiful nation, etc.
These foreign Nationals are coming to our great country, pretending to have a good cause, and staying beyond their welcome. Most of the September 11th terrorists were here on expired Visa's that our government was not enforcing. These foreign nationals were supposed to be here going to school. Two of the highjackers from September 11th were actually trained to fly at our very own Western Michigan University. So again, these terrorists came to the United States, took advantage of the generosity our government granted them and used it to their advantage. In my book, someone who takes advantage of the system deserves to be punished. We gave them a proverbial "hand-out," which they took, and then came right back and bit us right in the proverbial "ass.".
