When participating in one of the most prestigious games in the world, the Olympics, the symbol of the heart and soul of the game, is the flame. The flame must stay burning. It starts from a spark, from one torch, and transforms into a blaze. The outstretched torch is there. That one prestigious, well-respected, committed person has the honor to take the outstretched torch and run with it. The torch is outstretched, will you run with it? My commitment is to grasp that torch with two hands, run with it, never stopping, never tiring until I reach my destination. I will never cease until I have changed the lives of others in a positive manner. The flame will continue to burn until I have made it into the most prestigious law firm. The flame will intensify until I have been elected into a governmental position. My commitment will last until my life mirrors the old saying: "When you were born, you cried and the world rejoiced. Live your life in such a manner that when you die, the world cries and you rejoice." .
In my 17 years of being a United States citizen, I have seen this great country get through economic instability. I have seen this country at a high peak, only to fall and have thousands of lives crushed under the rubble of the World Trade Centers. Two wars have been fought, only to find out the information used as leverage is not there. My commitment is to be honest, ethical and moral in all of my doings and to continue that through my practice of law as an attorney and through my election into a well-respected governmental office. The fore fathers of this country came here to commit their lives to the upbringing of this nation. They made their long, hard journey to obtain their freedoms and civil liberties. They set aside their subtle differences to partake in the most honorable commitments ever undertaken by man and conducted themselves morally and ethically, thinking of others has they constructed the framework of the United States.
