The Case for Faith Chapter 5

But just because we are rulers over all the rest, does not mean we created ourselves or that we ourselves are God, but rather we are just creations being ruled over by God. Only Christianity can describe this origin from God and not be incoherent with certain rules of nature. We only became "like God" when we ate the fruit and sinning, because we thus knew what a sin was and what a sin wasn't. We thus were the definers of what good and evil was making us gods of ourselves. This makes sense of our origin because we continue to define what is right and wrong even in today's society of gay marriages and abortions galore. .
On Meaning: we cannot have meaning unless we have worship. Worship is the reason we live, to pay our respect to the one who created us and let us have freedom. Our meaning to worship and through that worship show others the reason we worship so they in turn show others the reason to worship and so on and so forth. .
On Morality: Christianity believes morals come straight out of God, and this makes sense. I mean if God isn't doing a certain thing, then why should we. This doesn't necessarily mean we should be smiting people down because they are evil and corrupt, because we must remember we cannot judge people by their motives only by their fruits. We can't have these moral laws without having someone obeying all of them, hence why Christianity is coherent here because God obeys all moral laws.
On Destiny: Our destiny is all focused on the main topic of Christ's resurrection. Pastor Steve Pierson laid it out to us simply when he said, "The death of Jesus saved us, but the Life of Jesus reconciled and sustains us." Without Christ's death and resurrection our destiny would be one of eternal torment and pain in hell. Thankfully because of his resurrection, Christ has given us the option to choose between eternal life with him or eternal damnation without him.
The Bible says about God, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
