A gentleman to me shows all the same characteristics as Robert E. I feel that there is so much more to being a gentleman than just holding doors and standing up when a girl walks into the room. Al-though both of those things are good it is better in my mind to conduct your self as a gentleman at all times and in all places. The true insides of a gentleman should hold exactly what Lee though and that included sincerity, moral strength, dignity, humbleness, courtesy, sympathy, and religious fervor. If you can conduct your self with all of these inside of you, you will have exactly what it takes to carry your self as a gentleman where ever you go. .
We will start with sincerity this was a lesson that I was taught at a young age just like everybody else. Your parents always told you to tell the truth and if you lie you will be grounded for how ever long. It just comes natural to me to be truthful about everything even if it will get me in trouble. I have lied about some things and if you try and carry out a lie it is the hardest thing you will ever do because all you do is start adding on more and more to the original lie and you don't even remember what the truth was. I feel that this is really the most important aspect of a gentleman because with out honesty and truth you really have nothing be it between a friend or a girlfriend. If you want to talk about something that girls just eat up it is a guy that will tell the truth.
The second and very important portion of a gentleman is that you must have moral strength. What Robert and I mean about this is that what ever you say you stay behind it one hundred percent. If you are working in a group and you come up with your groups idea and then it ends up being a bad idea you have enough moral strength to stand up and say this was my idea and I can take the blame for it.
Another big one on the list is Dignity. This just shows that you have a lot of self esteem.
