Law Or Emotion?

During the nine-teen fifties we experianced a time .
when people were not excepted because of their color.
In this period of time the chosen group of people were black.
Blacks were not accepted because of the color of their skin and weren't judged by character. This is something that is still going on today in the present. .
I think that it is better to force social change by law. No matter how the public feels it is not right to judge someone by their physical features. If we wait till people are emotionally ready to change, it might not even happen. The law has to take hold of the problem and end it. .
No matter how many people refuse, sooner or later they will get use to the idea of segregation. .
I know it takes time for people to adjust and I understand that. But if we dont end the problem right when it starts it could never end. We don't want it to change overnight, but we need it to change within months or even maybe a few years. The point is it must end. .
Once again I state my opinion, I think it is more likely to change when the law takes hold of the problem and resolves it by making legal challenges and new laws. The people wil never actually be ready to accept the change on their own. It has to end in one moment in time. It doesn't need to continue forever. No group should have to suffer their whole lives. The thirteenth amendment said that slaves were free. Not being equal to the other races is not freedom. It's being held a slave still. .
