Jem: (Jeremy Atticus Finch) Jem learns a lot about courage and judging people, through his experience with Mrs. Dubbose. Jem learns from his mistakes and not what people tell him. He is a mature young gentleman and can control his anger, unless it has something to do with his father, Atticus. Jem learned that through experiencing Mrs. dubbose company and reading to her, he came to understand that some times a person can present a character that isn't truly there own.

Scout: (Jean Louise Finch) Scout like most young people has a wild imagination and is very volnerable to the things she's told and the gossip she hears. Throughout the novel Scout talkes about her knowledge of people such as Dolphus Raymond, and Boo Radly. Her opinions on what these people are like, is based on fantsy of a childs imagination and on the gossip she recieves from Miss Stephine Crawford. Scout learn't that it is easy to misjudge people and that you can only learne the real truth though experiencing things yourself.
Mrs Dubbose: (Mrs Henry Lafayette Dubose) Mrs dubbose is a spitful, bitter lady who spent most of her time in bed or in a wheelchair on her front porch. Jem and Scout don't like her for Obvious reasons. Whenever Jem and Scout walk past her she would look down on them with a wrathful gaze and subject them to ruthless interrogation discussing their behaviour or how they will amount to nothing when they grow up. Mrs Dubbose was suffering a lot of pain and she would have frequent fits while Jem was reading to her. Mrs Dubbose was a morphine addict and this is what caused her fits. When she died she left a camellia in the letter box for Jem as a sign of friendship and forgiveness Atticus told Jem. .
