Abortion has been a very hot debate for many years in Canada bringing up a lot.
of controversy and strong opinions both for and against its practice. At the present time .
abortions are legal in Canada, however, there are groups of people who would like for .
this to change. The arguments range from moral ethics, religious teachings, and even to .
questionable parts of the law which may debate allowing abortion. On the other side of .
the coin the supporters of abortion can use many arguments which debate the .
characteristics of the fetus -such as its ability to feel pain or whether or not it is "alive---, .
as well it is debated that most women who actually do have abortions did use some form .
of birth control during sex --it merely didn't work ,and the reality becomes that if a .
person wants to have an abortion to begin with they do not want to have that child so they .
would suffer a hard life - there is also the situation of rape. Both sides provide very .
strong and debateable opinions, which leads to a frenzy of controversy and at times civil .
unrest. Ultimately my consensus on the subject is that I myself would never wish for the .
mother of my own child to have an abortion, however I don't believe it should be banned .
from those who would.

embryo is a "living- organism that abortion itself can be classified as murder. This .
argument does provide some validity, however, it chooses to focus upon a certain stage in .
the process of reproduction as oppose to examining all stages in the process. Sperm and .
egg cells can also be classified as living organisms, however, millions of them are .
"killed- through the use of birth control or even just by progressing through their own life .
cycle within the body. Those who oppose abortion should also at least be against the use .
