Violence is the basis upon which we live. Wherever we go there is some form or act of violence. Most people lose the concept of right and wrong while enduring hardships or experiencing any unfavorable incident. The line that once stood between them is now blurred, and can ultimately impair one's perception of rational behavior. People often find that they do no harm when they take action in a way that they think justifies or offsets a wrongdoing against him or her. Each link in this chain reaction of ignorance is synonymous; there is no right or wrong, which brings me to believe that violence is never justified as a means of avenging an injustice. .
.
I am fortunate, I have never had to resort to violence of any sort as a means of solving my tribulations, simply because I am not a hypocrite. Nevertheless, there are those of us who sadly enough, do not live in a near ideal world, and cannot settle disputes without their fists. The idiocy that reigns in this country is unfortunately passed on from each generation with little regard for what outcome it may render on its audience. .
.
We as a society, better yet, we as a human race are inclined not to think before we act. When a burglar goes to steal from a house, and in defense kills the owner, does he initially consider the consequences? Does he realize he can forfeit his own life in the process, by receiving a death sentence? If a person were to avenge a loved one in act of pure hatred towards this burglar, do they always comprehend that they will be treated in the same manner as the criminal? This concept of "do unto others as others do to you" is not valid, simply because two wrongs do not make a right, and in the end, there is no beneficiary. .
.
In summary, revenge in the form of violence perpetuates injustice, therefore proving that we cannot rationalize for this sort of vengeance. There is no justification no matter what the situation may be, because in its own way, violence is an everlasting cycle that can never be advantageous.
