The Not-So-Secret Signing

I woke up at 5:00am, it was so early that it was dark and those damn birds that had made their home in the roof above my bedroom were twittering away not realising that they had woken me up. Suddenly I remembered that it was Thursday and I was going to London for the (supposed) secret HIM (A Finnish rock band) signing!!!.
About two seconds later I was up and fumbling around in the dark trying to find the light switch and my glasses. At last I'd found them, showered, got dressed, had breakfast, checked my train and concert tickets and filled some water bottles trying not to wake anyone up.
"I'm going to the HIM signing!!!" I screamed at my sleeping parents (obviously I didn't try hard enough), which was answered by my dad with one of his famous Go-Away-I-Don't-Really-Care grunts. After that I grabbed my things and half ran and half skipped out of the house and round to my friend Dale's house who I had bullied into accompanying me to London. The train journey was rather boring , I just sat there, staring out of the window and listening to Dale coughing and snoring in his sleep.
We got there at about 12:00pm and there were only about seven people there, already waiting. We didn't know anyone so we sat down and waited. Maja and Vicky arrived at 12:10pm and all four of us ambled our way to Virgin Mega Stores in Piccadilly where the signing was to be held. When we got there, there was a mad rush as more than about 500 people tried to grab the new 'The Sacrament' singles off the shelves. We all bought our singles, then were told by the staff that we had to form a queue outside to wait (some more) for the band. I was seventh I the queue.
Not long after, two members of Trapt (another rock band) turned up, having been invited by HIM to perform as special guests at the secret concert in Underground Camden which they did later that day. I got their autographs and we were pleasantly talking because no one else seemed to recognise them when they unexpectedly invited me to their concert in London next Wednesday night and they put me down for the guest list! I was very happy but sadly I had to refuse because I had to be at school that day.
