Produce competent, quality work with personal integrity.
I started my senior project a little while after the project was officially assigned (from what I remembered, it was early October). I started it then because I did not want to procrastinate, which in turn would cause me to rush at the last minute, which also would cause me to overlook certain aspects of the project and allow for large errors.
Cooperate with others to solve problems.
I cooperated with my "shadow'ie- to better understand how a small business can start up and succeed, and how some fail. He also helped me relate this project to the objectives which I was having trouble with.
Thinking.
Recognize and examine moral and ethical concerns.
Business' have recently come under fire for illegal action that their higher ranking officials have taken apart of. Many people have been accused of insider trading (i.e. Martha Stewart), as it is illegal for 1 or more people to know something, good or bad; about ones stock, and then act on it before it has become public knowledge. Some people see this as unethical and will not act upon such information if presented to it, while others, who don't see it as unethical may go and act upon it, as to prevent financial downfall. And other things that may be legal may not necessarily be ethical. For example: if you were working for a company that specializes in financial services, and you have a client that needs help. If you were to chose a package for them that would benefit you the best, due to commissions; but what was chosen wasn't the best for them, may be legal but not ethical.
Demonstrate creative, critical, and evaluative thinking.
When I was thinking about making the web page for my project, I realized that to make the site appealing I would need to make it with easy access, easy navigation, and made so that it would be esthetically pleasing to the viewer. For the easy accessibility I created a short URL for the web page as to create an easy way to access it.
