Ladakh and its changing times

Ladakh is beautiful land in northern India. It is located in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It's high in the Himalayas that it is winter for eight months out of the year. Ladakh is about the size of England, but its population is only about 130,000 people. These once peace-minded people have now turned from helping each other out and learning skills they will need in the future to a place where engines reign supreme and where buildings are getting taller and cheaply made this is a world that the west has created I"m talking about our industrialized world. Now the big diesel trucks pollute the thin Ladakh air for this is one of the bad qualities of our western culture. Something good could be that medicines have increased the lifespan of the Ladakhi people greatly. Would you say the good out weighs the bad? Well, I think Ladakh was better off by itself with no outside help. I mean it was better off before the Western culture came and in my opinion ruin this unique culture.
One reason why Ladakh was better off before was they were peaceful and kind. They didn't need anything else then what they could already do and make for themselves. Now the Ladakhi people are more interested in money then helping each other out. Before they willing help one another out but to get any help now you would have to pay for it, just like in the U.S.
I"d say this is no improvement I say this is a step back in the development of a culture for the development of an area that already had everything it needed to survive. They have become uncivilized animals compared to their previous attitude in my opinion. .
I say another reason why Ladakh was better before Westernization is because before they prospered making enough food for all there people so none starved, but now people can't support them selves because of everybody wants to be paid for helping each other which the farmers can't do. The farmers have to compete against the international market for food and the market's prices are cheaper then the Ladakhi is so naturally the Ladakhi would start to get poorer.
