I"m going to let you be the jury and ultimately decide my fate. You may not wish to have such a weight upon your shoulders but regardless of such a fact it has come to rest there and only in reading on will it be lifted. Granted, I am here to divulge upon you the events through my eyes; biased? yes, without a doubt; exaggerated? perhaps. but I am only the persuader and you are only my audience. This is the trial and you may disdain or dignify what I embody but only after due course; and if my powers of persuasion lie undisturbed you will come to realize you would do the same had you been in my position, so how can you in your right mind convict me of this crime? Maybe, you wouldn't have done the same. but it would haunt you, you would fantasize my crime night after night, and appreciate the person who had the strength to act upon it, perhaps glorify them, perhaps not? Regardless, I am innocent, and I plan to convince you no only of this but hopefully of committing this crime in your own town. Of course, the choice is ultimately yours.
So you may now wonder what be this horrendous crime I have committed; is it a crime of the mind, the body, perhaps the spirit? Well, it is a combination of all; that's how it goes though, first it forms in your brain deep within the mind, then your body follows in a reaction of nerves and ultimately to be effected is the spirit. No I did not kill anyone how could I possible convince anyone of the justice of stolen life; it all started with the idea: bootleg books on tape. Don't laugh it struck me as pure genius, as do most my quick to be labeled as "foolish" fantasies. So I figured why not carry this one out and it was surprisingly easy to convince some friends to convene at least once a week in my basement duplex and read aloud everything from the Nancy Drew series to say more heavy items like the Unbearable Lightness of Being; of course some alcoholic beverages and pot were part of the plan, I"m not one to lie.
