WW1 causes

He was jealous of Britain's navy and that of Britain's empire and colonies, as he would go to Britain every summer, as Queen Victoria was his Grandmother. He became the emperor of France in 1888 at the age of 29. He starts immediately to build up his navy. USA and Germany had all the technology having had the industrial revolution before Britain. Britain and Germany became in a naval and arms race. At the moment the German public was unhappy. Wilhelm wanted to go to war as it unifies a country making them work together.
These two causes are linked together as Wilhelm's personality and his jealousy of Britain led to the naval and arms race and this would create the threats just like the building up of armies. A cause that led to the trigger of the war is that Serbia and Bosnia wanted to be separate from that of Austria-Hungary for the reason that Russia was in an alliance with Serbia and in competition with Austria-Hungary. This cause made the trigger cause I think. Having analysed it.
The short-term causes in World War One were major as these contained the causes like the trigger. The assassination of Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo the government of Serbia provided the armery needed for the assassination attempt asked a group of Serbian terrorists to go along and murder him. The terrorists agreed. They had plan lots of men lined up to back up if attempts failed. The first man was being closely monitored he did nothing. The next had a bomb threw it at the cart it had a ten second delay he forgot, cart drove past and missed bomb. The other men shocked by the bomb even though knowing it was going to explode was to slow to react the attempt had failed. The man who threw the bomb took some out of date poison it only made him sick he jumped in a river to kill him but it was only 6 inches deep! He was caught. The actual assassination was luck as Gavilo Princip went off to buy a sandwich the driver of Franz Ferdinand's cart took a wrong turn leading him to Gavrilo who simply just took him down and his wife! He also went to take the poison but was only sick he was caught but the damage was done! I think this the trigger cause was such an important but yet it was so easily avoidable.
