What elements did Blacks have to accomplish their goals?.
Inventions, Politics, Jobs all the way back to the motherland Black History has been going on for years and years. Blacks have contributed to our society if African Americans never did these things we"ll be left out in the world with out things that make our everyday lives much easier. The things I would like to specifically talk about what black history means to me are courage, attitude, and responsibility.
Blacks had a lot of courage back in then and they had to if they wanted any changes to go down or equal rights. As an example Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a strong example of a man that showed a lot of courage. Martin went through sit INS at bus stations, libraries; anywhere there were white only signs in the window. He proved thought all the pain and suffering that was caused on him, he chose to become a non- violent man; fighting back with the same respect he gave towards racists people. .
Attitude goes quite hand and hand with courage. African Americans had the right mind to go out and make some changes. They had determination and that fire in their eye that gave them their motivation. One thing they had to remember was to always keep a positive attitude despite how slim there chances where. You have to have the right attitude to succeed in what ever it is your trying to do.
The most important key to have was responsibility. Being a responsible African American was a hard thing to do. Africans could have made one simple mistake that could have ended their lives, for example in the early 50's if you was Blackman and saw a white woman walking and whistle to her that was a definite lynching or beat down by the Klu Klux Klan or an angry mob. Being Responsible for your own actions was taking cautiously. .
As a summary, Blacks had to follow guidelines to stay strong , alive, and keep their heads up for the best to come.
