Abortion is an issue that has been, and is going to be controversial for years to come. Some argue that abortion is not murder, while others define it as just that! The issue spreads further than just teenagers who don't want to be parents, it goes to families participating in incest, a high number didn't have a choice in the act of sex, who are rape victims and women with health problems. There are some steps that can be taken to accommodate both sides. With abortion being a double-sided blade, I lean toward the anti-abortion side, because of my personal beliefs and religious background.
The argument of abortion being murder is broad in three definitions of murder human life and a human person. Murder is defined as the crime of unlawfully killing a person. Human life is defined as any living entity that has D.N.A. from the species homo sapiens. A human person is defined as any form of human life that is also a person. In his article Abortion Bruce A. Robinson states, "There is a consensus that a newborn is a human person. People disagree about whether a zygote, embryo, or fetus is a human person. People have different opinions about the stage at which human life becomes a human person. This is the core disagreement that drives the abortion controversy." The fact that the building blocks to a human being are being destroyed before the development of its vital organs does not mean that it is not a person! At that stage it would be defined as a human life, but what about what he or she could become in the future. By destroying the human life your denying the human person which intentionally is unlawful and that is defined as murder. Many arguments come from these definitions, but if everyone looked at them carefully we can all conclude that abortion is murder. .
Abortion is operated on teenagers and adults who can't handle the pressure of being responsible parents, and also by a number of other people whose reasons range from rape to incest to health concerns.
