Macbeth is one of William Shakespeare's most brilliant pieces that catch the reader's eye of all ages. There are two people in the story that slowly turn evil as time goes by, they are Macbeth and Lady Macbeth. Their greed slowly takes over there bodies after Macbeth has a conversation with three witches which tell Macbeth that they see him as a king in the near future. Of course Macbeth gets anxious and wants this to come true so he seizes the chance to claim his throne as clues from the witches slowly progress. After killing King Duncan, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth soon show their differences. In this paper they are brought up as events and then describe either their differences or similarities. .
The first event is through pages 336-339 when Macbeth will be king. Part of the prophecy has already come true, but if this is a good prophesy why does it " Unfix my hair and make my seated heart knock at my ribs- (I, III, 135-136) Macbeth wants to be king but is concerned that his thoughts about killing Duncan are wrong and unnatural. Lady Macbeth is the same but yet has some differences because she wants Macbeth to be king but believes Macbeth is " too full of the milk o" human kindness to catch the nearest way." (I, IV, 17-18) She wants to transfer her strength and ruthlessness to Macbeth so that he"ll " catch the nearest way." (I, V, 18) by killing Duncan. At this point in the story we see that Macbeth is still rational and still human, and get the feeling that Lady Macbeth is the more demanding of the two and is willing to push him to get things done. .
The second event takes place on page 345 and that they can not hide the evil intent. Before Macbeth could kill Duncan they had to act " away, and mock the time with fairest show; False face must hide what the false heart doth know." (I, VII, 81-82) This quote shows that they had to act as if nothing was going to happen and had to treat him as a guest of highest honor.
