POLICE OFFICER

Police academies run a program that typically lasts 900 hours. Usually, it can be completed within one year. Here are some of the components of the recruitment process:.
1.Written application -- your name and personal details .
2.Written test -- usually has several sections, including an English, math and decision-making component.
3.Background investigation -- a detailed review of your background and arrest record - they prefer it if you don't have one! .
4.Physical agility test -- run a distance, jump over a wall, pump out some push-ups .
5.Polygraph exam -- crossing your fingers won't get you through this one .
6.Oral board -- face-to-face with a panel of cops and civilians asking tough questions. They want to figure out if you should be carrying a gun! .
7.Medical examination -- a full physical exam 8.Psychological examination -- just to make sure you're playing with a full deck .
I have what it takes to be a LBPD Police Officer because I think I have what it takes to pass the Police Academy. I am an Explorer, Police Explorer I am in a program were I"m a Jr. Police Officer and train to go out and patrol with real Police Officers. What we do is training in how to fill out an F5 and tickets how to stop a car how to search some one appropriately. I have passed the Orange County Police Explorers Academy. So I can go out and patrol with a real Police Officer so I think that I have what it takes to go and pass the test and training so I could go out there and keep my city safe from crime. I know there are some risk to this job and mite get killed on duty. But I do it to serve this country and serve my community and family. What I see on these Troops and I see commitment and courage plus pride because they are doing a terrific job on keeping this city safe I see there's more patrolling going on and I know that our city's budget is down and I guess is going even more down the drain but I hope they can get more Police Officers out there to patrol.
