There are different kinds of parents some are good for their children but some are not. Most parents raise their kids the way their own parents raised them, whether it is good or bad. Some parents are too protective; they are hard to get along with. Laid-back type parents make teenagers lives happy because they are there to support their children when they need it. Then there are the parents who don't care at all, which can result to teenagers getting into bad things. Parents are supposed to support and nurture their children; but if they don't do it properly, there can be serious effects on their children.
Having protective parents can make the life of teenagers difficult. Protective parents demand that their children obey them. That is especially hard for teenagers because adolescence is a time when changes happen; teenagers are starting to have their own opinions, which are probably opposite to their parents. It is hard for teenagers to make mistakes if they have protective parents because they always expect something good from their kids. Most of the time, when a teenager does something wrong, their parents get angry right away. Such parents can be annoying too. They want to know everything that is happening to their children's lives. This is difficult because it leave teenagers no privacy. As a result, there is a possibility that teenagers will end up asking themselves if their parents are being very protective because their parents care for them or just trying to be hard on the teenagers. My cousin has very protective parents, when he did something wrong or fail in school, most of the time his parents beat him up. That's the reason why he was driven a way from his parents, because his parents? expectations were too high that they can't even reach it. The sad thing about that is that he is now a rebellious teenager. Such parents cause teenagers life to be complicated because of their rules.
