Prejudice Then and Now

What would happen if everyone in the world judged every body else based on their age, sex, race, religion, and physical and mental capabilities? The world would most likely be a completely torturous and terrible place to live in. But this was the kind of world the Jewish people and other minority groups of people in Germany had to live in during the Holocaust. The Holocaust is an example what the horrors of prejudice can eventually do to the world, to a country, and to innocent people. .
The Holocaust was a combination of many horrendous happenings brought on by prejudice. The most horrific thing about the Holocaust was how people were mistreated in Concentration Camps. During the Holocaust, innocent people were taken from their homes by Nazis and crammed onto trains. The awful conditions of the trains were only the beginning of what these people were going to face. The trains were brought right through the doors of the Concentration Camps. From there, the able-bodied men and boys were separated from the elderly, the women, and the children. People were who too young, too old, or not able to work were killed right away in gas chambers. The rest of the people were then stripped of all possessions, including clothing and gold teeth, and then shaved bald. While living in the Concentration Camps, the people were tortured constantly, they were starved, and they were forced to work building war weapons in factories of grim conditions. The people were in Concentration Camps for two reasons-to suffer and to die. These people were guiltless people and the Nazis, because of prejudice, mistreated them. .
The Holocaust eventually ended, but it should have been stopped earlier. It could have possibly been prevented. If people would have been able to see what Hitler was trying to do they may have had the bravery to speak up. They could have contacted the leaders of other countries and encouraged them to take charge.
