There are only two dry seasons in Uganda and they are from December to February, and June to August.
Uganda got its name from a hunter who came from Unyoro. He was a poor man that hunted to feed his family and was so successful, that he was soon feeding people all around. He was eventually named Kimera, the first King of Buganda. Uganda is populated by about twenty-three million people and is characterized by diversity. There are over twenty-five ethnic groups and multiple languages and dialects. Although there are four main ethnic groups in Uganda which all have different origins. These are the Bantus, the Nilotics, the NiloHamitics and the Sudanics. At the time of the first exploration of Uganda there were three main kingdoms, each ruled by a Monarch and laws and customs of their own. The kingdoms are Buganda, Kitara, and Karagwe. .
Uganda has been created by the union of many peoples. Ancient people with their own traditional lands, their own customs and a way of life inherited from their ancestors. They now live together as one people. The largest cultural group are the Baganda people. The religions that the Uganda people have are Christianity, Muslim, Jewish, Hindus and many more. Everybody is free to practice their own religion and they have many festivals and celebrations at their temples and churches. .

1962. The first government was headed by Dr. Apollo Milton Obote who was the Prime Minister and Sir Edward Fredrick Muteesa, who was the President and the head of the Republic. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni became President of Uganda on January 26th 1986, after leading a successful five year guerilla struggle against the regimes of Milton Obote and Tito Okello.
Uganda has substantial natural resources, including fertile soils, regular rainfall, and mineral deposits of copper and cobalt.
