I am seventeen years old and am involved in soccer and wrestling. I love to do both sports and have been pretty successful in each one. I usually considered myself one of the top soccer players on the team, mainly due to trying really hard and understanding the game. In wrestling I am a two-year Olympic Conference champ in my weight class, and I have advanced past sectionals. I have also assisted with an elementary wrestling camp that we host every year. I was one four head coaches, and I coached the winning team this year. .
During last school year and over the summer I volunteered a at St.Gabriel's Church. I did a variety of things such as carrying boxes and filing papers. A few of my hobbies include recreational sports with my friends, off-road adventures, and playing with my two one-year old nephews. I have really learned a lot about child care and feel that I will be ready when my time comes to have children, hopefully not too soon though. Before I have kids, I would like to have a stable income that would allow me to give my kids anything that they could want.
I feel that I should be awarded this scholarship, because I want to pay my own college tuition, and I could use any help as I can get.
