Tap, Tap, Tap, it seems like the consistent kick from the little rascal sitting behind you will never end. After the third or fourth time the person with the bladder problem has squeezed between you, you just wish you would have stayed home. Although attending the theater and viewing a movie at your own home are two different enjoyable entertainment choices, the convenience of watching a movie in the comfort of your own home offers better advantages and outweighs going to the theater. The cost overall, number of interruptions, and comfort level of going out to a movie rather than picking up a blockbuster are nothing in common.
I love going to the movies, but the continual rise in prices at the is ridiculous. It now costs eight dollars for one adult to see a movie. That doesn't include the cost of popcorn, drinks, or candy. It is outrageous that the movies can put a three dollars and twenty-five cent price tag on a seventy five cent box of candy. Nowadays, a date to the movies can cost well over twenty bucks. If your like myself, twenty dollars can be a pocket breaker. Especially when you can go to blockbuster and rent a movie for only four dollars. Then you could get that same box of candy for the price that it is supposed to cost. Plus instead of only a limited number of people your whole entire family can enjoy it in the comfort of your own home. This means you also can see it as many times as you"d like before the rental's due date. The escalading movie prices make taking in a movie at home an easier choice.
Despite the costliness of gong to the movies, the numerous interruptions does not make things better. Crying babies, obnoxious teenagers and talkative couples can make a movie experience a real headache. They can cause you to miss out on important scenes in the movie. The last time that I seen a movie, the person sitting beside me wouldn't stop asking me questions throughout the movie.
