Once you have your album, pages and protectors you are then ready to begin the practice of scrapbooking.
There are just a few basic steps to follow in creating a scrapbook page. A wide variety of products and tools are available to assist you in creating your pages: die-cuts, stickers, card stock, designer paper, decorative scissors, archival pens, and embellishments just to mention a few. All of these will help you to create, design, document and preserve your cherished memories. Following these basic steps for creating a page, will help you to create a memorable photo album. To begin, you first will need to look at your photographs and sort through them; group pictures together that contain a similar theme, such as Christmas. Once you have your pictures grouped, you then select 1-3 pictures for each page. Try to think about the story behind the photos and how you would like to convey it. By thinking about this information you are now choosing a theme for your page. Look at the pictures and see if there is an obvious theme. For example, snow, presents and a festive tree would indicate Christmas. Once you have chosen your pictures and theme, it is time to select certain details. These extra details are added to your page for excitement and pizzazz. Details can range from stickers, die-cuts, mats, frames embellishments or anything else you may think of. A wide variety of these are available at local craft stores. As you can see, the possibilities of items to choose from are endless; just a little imagination is all it takes. These are your design ideas, also know as creativity.
