Journey of Ibn Fauttouma

It seems that the temptations in Mashriq is to great for a young man of his statute and also his lost love had reappeared in some form in the land of Mashriq which he quickly gave in to. Mashriq, is the land of temptation and lust. .
This land represents in giving in to your own desires and by doing so you become nothing more than an animal that has no control over what season it is and their primitive structure in mind to mate so did the moon people here. .
Mashriq is the first land that is visited. What I have come across is in the journey I have noticed is that the land of Gebel is his final destination and it seems to be that the land of god is perfection which is the last land you can go to. With that being understood I feel the first land has to be as opposite from perfection and god as it can possibly be because each land is somehow being closer to god, there for the land of Mashriq symbolizes the land of evil. Lust is evils way in getting you to do what evil wants you to do so evil puts all of these temptations in front of you so you will be persuaded that evil is a good thing. Fattouma gave into evil which form has taken place in the figure of a beautiful women that resembled his past love. But when evil saw that Fattouma was trying to spread the word of god and had not completed in winning Fattouma over evil had to get rid of the spread of knowledge that Fattouma was putting on his son. I came to understand that Fattouma became something he didn't want to be. He became evil, for in this land his own beliefs are dampened by an effect of nudity by a beautiful women. He gives in to his temptations, his lack of resistance, and his religion which may of well been because of his youthfulness at that time He becomes a hypercritic and what he was taught had only been in his memories.
His character seems to have forgotten his sole purpose in going on the journey. First his mind turns in to mush over Arousa .
