" Everyone I think in the entire coliseum just laughed and nodded their head in sarcasm. .
It was a mob scene leaving the coliseum. It felt like the Autobahn in Germany with all these high school students leaving to prepare for tonight's big ceremony. Kevin and I had a tee time at twelve o"clock. What better way to celebrate our graduation with a nice round of golf. We were going to try to relax ourselves and just go with the flow, for tonight was going to be a nerve wracking and exciting night, all in just a few hours. .
We met at the Mill Cove clubhouse to grab something to eat for the next 18 holes. We weren't the best golfers in Jacksonville, even though Kevin was the Hidden Hills Junior Champion three years in a row. None the less I was no champion, but I still held my own when it came down to betting closest to the hole. Neither of us played a decent round of golf that day. Maybe cause the fact that our High School lives are coming to an end tonight at eight o"clock, just a few hours away.
We headed home to get ready for tonight, but mostly we were getting ready for picture time with our families. My family has had to have spent more money on Kodiak film than any other family alive. For big events like this and prom, my mother would take at least a minimum 2 to 3 rolls of film, just on me. The photo session lasted about a good hour to hour in a half. My family and I sat at the dinner table and talked about how I felt about tonight and what were my plans after the graduation ceremony. Since I was the first kid in the family, my mom would burst out into random tears for no reason; although I"m sure she had good reason to cry. Her first son was graduation tonight. .
We had to be back up at the coliseum at six o"clock to get ready and for our teachers to pass out our medallions. I met Kevin up at the Burger King downtown to grad a quick bite to eat to feed all these butterflies that are flying around in our stomach.
