Originally, Pearl Harbor was an American NAVY base during World War II and it was attacked by Japanese aircrafts on December 7,1941. .
This movie is about how America reacted to the Japanese attack, during World War II; it shows how hard it was for America to recover from the attacks made at Pearl Harbor. After Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, Americans came up with a plan to bomb Hiroshima, the major city in Japan.
The characters, in the movie, are two pilots from Pittsburgh and a nurse. The pilots are best friends, who grew up and joined the military together. One of the pilots named Rafe McCally met the nurse named Evalyn at the hospital during physical. At first she was shy, but very soon their relationship became serious. When Rafe was in battle combat, his plane was shot down and everybody thought that he had died. His best friend Danny started to date Evalyn. Soon enough they fell in love. A few months later Rafe returned and found out that his best friend was dating Evalyn. Denny's friendship with Rafe ended and they fought. They both wanted the same woman. Evalyn could not decide with who she wanted to be. During the plan to retaliate on Japan for attacking Pearl Harbor, Danny and Rafe got close again, but for a little while. Denny died while trying to save Rafe's life. Rafe lived.
I like this movie because it had the right amount of action, adventure, drama, the very good battle scenes, and actors played their roles perfectly.
