Good morning parents, teachers, staff, honored guests, and fellow .
On behalf of the 2004 graduating class of Nobel Middle School, I .
would like to welcome you to our commencement ceremony. Well, this is it; the .
day all of us have been waiting for has finally arrived. It amazes me that we are .
finally here. Throughout the years, I have often thought about this moment. How .
it would feel to be with all of you here, finally graduating.
I remember when I first walked into Ms. Sharp's homeroom 77 in the sixth .
grade. For that first day I dreaded going to middle school, all I could picture were .
mazes of hallways and classrooms, unfamiliar faces of students and teachers, .
and upperclassmen that loved to torture frightened children. Fortunately, my .
visions were over exaggerated. I soon got used to things around campus.
These past school years and memories have been a journey for me, a .
journey full of experiences, challenges and accomplishments. So far I have made .
it through elementary, and middle school. It hasn't always been what I expected .
and certainly not easy, but as I progressed down the learning path, I stretched .
myself to reach across barriers and found a new, expanding roles. Like in the .
words of a Chinese Proverb "A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a .
single step", I am pleased to inform you that we all have successfully made it .
through life's early steps. That is why, I am proud to present to you Nobel's .
graduating class of 2004, the yet prosperous steps of a journey.
