             In Italy there was a strong reaction against Modernism in the later 1960s and young designers created interiors and furniture, which deliberately challenged the canons of 'good taste'. .
             An example of this is the 'blow' chair made in 1967 by Carla Scolari, Donato D'Urbino, Paolo Lomazzi, Gionatan de Pas. Manufactured in clear PVC for use in swimming pools, its fun and anti-establishment connotations appealed to young consumers.
