He also granted equality to all citizens, no matter what class, in the eyes of the law. He even set up a public school system where people could learn, no matter what class they were. These three points alone show that he did want to help the revolution and that he was doing his part. "Napoleon had an expansive dream of ruling an empire that covered all of Europe- (Allen & Allen, 129). To do this he needed as many loyal soldiers as he could get.              The members of the Third Estate were very much in favor of Napoleon and what he was doing for the revolution. During the Tennis court oath, one of the major points that the Third Estate demanded was "The National Assembly hereby completely abolishes the feudal system."" Another demand was, "All citizens, without distinction of birth, are eligible to any office or dignity, whether ecclesiastical, civil, or military; and no profession shall imply any derogation."" A third demand that the Third Estate had was that "those guilty of the same crime, no matter what order of society they are from, should undergo the same punishment- (Andrea & Overfield, 189). Napoleon put all of these demands into effect. That is why the Third Estate was pleasant with the changes that Napoleon made.
