Why should High School students be able to have open campus for lunch? This question should have us all thinking about all of the different ways that students could take advantage of this opportunity. I believe that not all but some of the students would not take the decision of having open campus as responsibly. Instead I believe that they would see it as an open door, a way for them to take advantage of the situation. Not allowing students to have open campus for lunch would keep students safe, and at the same time allow teachers and other people more aware of what students are doing. I believe that not allowing students to have open campus for lunch is the only way to avoid any potential problems that may arise from students having open campus during their lunch period. .
Students shall be allowed to have open campus during their lunch period. I believe that if a student shows responsibility and they are doing well in school then they shall have this opportunity. By allowing students to go out for lunch it may show them that their hard work and accomplishments are being looked over and that their strong abilities really do mean something. I believe students should be able to be allowed to make their own decisions. So, if they feel as though they are able to take precautions and be back to school on time then they shall have the opportunity to have open campus.
First of all, even considering to allow students to have open campus for their lunch period is not the right idea. Many things could happen if students are able to leave school for lunch. There would be no way to tell whether or not students are being responsible and the school would be held responsible if anything wrong happened to the students during school hours. Students have so much already going through their minds. During developing students high school career, they have so many problems. Therefore during the middle of the school day students shall not be able to leave the school property, many times they may not be able to get back to school on time because there may be long lines at a restaurant due to the fact that there will be other students out for lunch.
