.
Jesus is fully God (John 1:1; Colossians 1:15-20; 2:9, Hebrews 1:1-13). Jesus is equal with God in essence, nature, character, beingness, and above all, deity. This is clearly implied by John 1:1c. Jesus exhibited the attributes of deity during His earthly life. Jesus is omnipotent. He calmed the storm, an act attributed to God three times in the Psalms (Matthew 8:26-27; Psalm 65:7; 89:9; 107:28-30). Jesus is omniscient (Mark 2:8; John 1:48). Jesus is omnipresent (Matthew 18:20; 28:20). Jesus is sovereign (Mark 2:5-7). Jesus is worthy of worship (Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:6). Jesus is equal with the Father (John 5:17). Jesus does the same works as the Father (John 5:19-24). Jesus has life in Himself just like the Father (5:25-29). .
Jesus did not give up his divine attributes while He was on earth. He voluntarily limited some of His divine attributes out of humility (Philippians 2:5-7). He took up our lowly human status and position. Jesus changed His role and status here on earth, not His essential attributes or nature. It was equality with God that Jesus emptied Himself of. He did not empty himself of the form of God. Jesus is equal with God, being in very nature God (Philippians 2:6). He also took on full humanity (Phil. 2:7). .
In His incarnate state here on earth, the man Jesus Christ was unable to sin. He never did actually sin (1 Peter 2:22). He was truly tempted (Luke 4:2; Hebrews 2:18), yet "God cannot be tempted with evil (James 1:13)." Jesus" human nature never existed apart from His divine nature from the moment of His conception. Jesus Christ was fully God. Jesus" sinlessness and impeccability is his qualification to be the savior of mankind (1 Peter 3:18). .
The two natures of Christ united in one person are without confusion or change; they are also without division or separation. The two natures did not function independently. Christ has no duality in his action, thought or purpose.
